1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use GoFetch. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
2. Account registration
To access most features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:
- provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration;
- keep your account credentials confidential and secure;
- notify us immediately at support@gofetch.app if you suspect unauthorized access to your account;
- be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that contain false or misleading information.
3. Use of the Service
GoFetch is a comprehensive dog health, care, and lifestyle companion, providing tools such as AI-powered diet and nutrition planning, health records, medication tracking, an emergency and poison-safety AI assistant, a directory of dog-friendly places, care scheduling, and community events. GoFetch also includes BarkMatch, a feature that helps owners find nearby compatible dogs for supervised playdates and socialization. You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others.
You agree not to:
- post false, misleading, or fraudulent content, including fake profile photos or dog information;
- harass, threaten, bully, or otherwise harm other users;
- send unsolicited messages, spam, or promotional content to other users;
- use the Service to distribute malware, viruses, or any harmful code;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or other users' accounts;
- scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service by automated means;
- impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity;
- use the Service for any commercial solicitation without our prior written consent.
4. AI-powered features
GoFetch uses artificial intelligence to power certain features, including personalized diet and nutrition plans, medication recognition, and an in-app AI Assistant (covering Vet Assistant/Emergency Actions, the Poison Calculator, Local Guide, and Trip Concierge). These features analyze information you provide — such as your dog's breed, age, weight, activity level, health conditions, photos, or descriptions of a substance or symptom — to generate suggestions, plans, and guidance.
- AI-generated output is provided for informational and convenience purposes only and does not constitute veterinary, medical, or professional advice;
- AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your dog's specific situation; you are responsible for independently verifying any AI-generated guidance before relying on it;
- information you submit to AI-powered features may be processed by third-party AI providers, as described in Section 8 (Third-party services).
Not for emergencies
The Vet Assistant, Emergency Actions, and Poison Calculator features are intended to help you make faster, more informed decisions — they are not a substitute for professional veterinary care. If your dog is experiencing a medical emergency or may have ingested a toxic substance, contact a licensed veterinarian, emergency animal hospital, or a poison control hotline immediately.
5. SMS communications
By providing your phone number and creating an account, you consent to receive SMS text messages from GoFetch. These messages may include:
- one-time verification and authentication codes (OTP);
- account-related notifications and security alerts;
- match and messaging notifications;
- event confirmations and pet care reminders;
- other service-related communications.
Opt-out & Help
Message frequency varies based on your account activity. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message we send. Reply HELP for assistance or contact us at support@gofetch.app. Note that opting out of SMS may limit certain features such as phone-based verification.
6. User content
You retain ownership of content you submit to the Service, such as profile photos, messages, and dog profiles ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant GoFetch a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, store, display, and distribute your User Content solely to operate and improve the Service.
You represent and warrant that:
- you own or have the necessary rights to all User Content you submit;
- your User Content does not violate the rights of any third party, including intellectual property rights or privacy rights;
- your User Content does not contain illegal, obscene, or offensive material.
We reserve the right to remove User Content that violates these Terms or that we reasonably determine is harmful to the Service or its users.
7. Intellectual property
All rights, title, and interest in and to the Service — including its software, design, trademarks, logos, and content created by Go Fetch — are and remain the exclusive property of GoFetch and its licensors. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our trademarks or other proprietary materials without our prior written consent.
8. Third-party services
The Service integrates with third-party services such as Google Maps, Apple Sign-In, Google Sign-In, and AI providers. Your use of those services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices or content of any third-party service.
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
GoFetch is a platform that connects users; we do not verify the identity or background of users beyond our standard verification process, and we are not responsible for the conduct of any user on or off the Service.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, GoFetch AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES — INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL — ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS ($100).
11. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from within the app under Settings → Account → Delete account.
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, if required by law, or if continued access poses a risk to the Service or other users.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections 6, 7, 9, 10, 12, and 13 survive termination.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in the United States.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notification or email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
